The Battle of the Boot is a Ryder Cup-style tournament played between First Tee – Greater Dallas and First Tee – Fort Worth.
The best 24 from both chapters play against each other to see who will take The Boot back to their side of the metroplex!

Each age group is put into pairs and play as a team of two against two of Fort Worth’s best and brightest players.

The structure of the tournament is as follows:
There are three age ranges – 7-10ys, 11-13yrs, and 14+yrs.
A qualifier is played a few weeks in advance of the boot to determine the 8 participants per age range that will play for the team.
At least 2 alternates are also chosen in case of one of the players not being able to attend during the tournament day.

To qualify, participants have to play a 9 hole or 18 hole qualifying round and place in the top 8 of their age group.

**The 14+yrs age group qualifier times are reserved for our ace participants. The typical scores shot to make the 14+yrs age is less than 78 for 18 holes. If your child is not in the ace program but wants to try to qualify to join the Boot team, please contact Coach Katie.**
