What is a Program Scholarship?

Programming scholarships are reduced fees for programming cost.

What does the process involve?
To document need for our underwriting, we will request proof of need through Medicaid, CHIP, free and reduced lunch letters, or some other form of low-income proof. We will not request paystubs, w2s or any form of actual financial documentation. If you do not have any of these forms, we do understand one-time events that cause income stress, and can discuss options including a personal letter.

Please expect to be contacted after your submission by our program administrative staff requesting some form of documentation.

How much scholarship can be requested?
Typical amounts for our weekly program scholarships are 50% and 80% cost reduction. Camp scholarships are typically flat rate amounts determined by our Board of Directors and our Executive Director. We do not offer 100% cost reduction.

What about payment plan options?

HOW DO I APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?

Applying for Financial Assistance is now part of our online registration process. Please following the following steps. If you would like a video tutorial, please click here.

Step 1: Register your child/ren for the desired class by adding the selection to the cart.

Step 2: Proceed to checkout.

Step 3: Continue the registration by completing information and answering questions.  When you get to the Financial Aid Page, please (x) click that you would like to apply.  Answer the questions and click continue.

Step 4: Proceed to checkout and click submit. Upon applying, your application will be reviewed by First Tee – Greater Dallas and you will be contacted to supply supporting documentation UNLESS you have provided this documentation earlier in the year. You will have a set amount of time to return requested documentation before the request will be denied. We will do everything in our power to get in touch before denying your request for lack of documents.

Step 5: Upon determination, you will receive an email with directions to complete your registration from [email protected], just like you do for completion of registration from our mass system. For a number of people, these e-mails are lost in spam. Please be on the lookout after submitting your documents. You will have 48 hours to complete your registration once approval has been given.  Failure to complete your registration in 48 hours will result in your cart being abandoned, meaning your child will have lost their place in the class.
