LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program – #girlpower
LPGA-USGA Girls Golf prepares juniors for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game and provides a solid foundation for girls who want to play for fun with friends and family, to compete at the high school, college, and/or local, state and national levels or to learn for future career purposes, both inside and outside of the golf industry. Girls Golf starts at 6 years of age, and girls are welcome until they graduate high school.
The only national initiative of its kind, Girls Golf is administered through a partnership between The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Foundation and the United States Golf Association (USGA), both non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
The LPGA does offer national leadership academies to teen girls within the Girls Golf program once they turn 13 years old!
What’s the difference between Girls Golf and First Tee? Not much! Girls Golf does have more of an instructional and social focus around girls learning more about golf with more of a social twist. One is not better than the other, and participants can attend both types of classes!
